2011 Annual Session

Dear Moderators and Pastors:

Greetings in the name of our Precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The 134th Annual Session of our Convention will convene on May 2-6, 2011, at Welfare Baptist Church, Belton, South Carolina. Dr. Samuel B. Neely and the Welfare Baptist Church Family will serve as hosts. Our Welcome night speaker will be Dr. James Perkins, Pastor of Greater Christ Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan and First Vice President of the Progressive National Baptist Convention. All services and activities will be held at the church. Please mark your calendars for the President's Educational Banquet, which will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the S. B. Neely Auditorium located on the church grounds. We are asking that each church and association purchase at least two (2) tickets at $35.00 each for this occasion.

All churches are urged to bring your doorway fees. Registration will begin Monday, May 2, 2011 in the Fellowship Hall after 12 noon.

Please be prepared to register with the Brotherhood and Music Departments. We are also asking that you come prepared to pay your Benevolence Fee of $50.00.

However, if churches are not able to pay their fees, the Convention will accept a lesser amount.

2nd Annual Golf Tournament

The cost for this event is only $60 per player. The cost includes entry into all events: 18 holes of golf, riding cart, lunch on the turn, refreshments, gift bags, and various awards.

The awards presentation will be immediately following the golf tournament at Saluda Valley Country Club.

P. S. Moderators are reminded that Moderators Night will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Each Association is requested to contribute a minimum of one thousand dollars ($1000.00).
